Iowa County Recreation Grant


Iowa County is offering grant funding for outdoor recreation projects that increase or improve tourism into Iowa County. This $50,000 Grant offers funding for outdoor recreation projects that increase or improve tourism in Iowa County. Applicants must be non-profit organizations, schools, or municipalities. Projects should start in 2024 and be completed no later than December 31, 2025. 

Applications must be received by 4:30 pm on April 1, 2024. 

 Funding decisions will be made in mid-May. Applications will be ranked by a team of County staff based on tourism impact, need, feasibility and readiness, accessibility, communications plan, and match percentage. Successful grant applicants must sign an agreement that will detail the grant deliverables and requirements. Payments will be made in two installments; half of funding will be awarded after the grant agreement is signed and the other half once the project is complete.
