We can help you identify those acres and find revenue-boosting alternatives! The Iowa County Field Profitability Improvement Program includes:
- A free profitability analysis based on your yield data, conducted by a Pheasants Forever expert, plus a $5/acre incentive payment.
- For those who don’t have yield data, a new $1,000 incentive payment to begin yield monitoring and share your yield data with us.
- Based on the analysis, a $25/acre incentive to seed unprofitable areas down to hay, a buffer, pollinator habitat, or other long-term vegetation.
- Additionally, help deciding on practices and signing up for any applicable cost-share programs.

The Iowa County Land Conservation department recently held a webinar called “Precision Decisions: Refining Farm Profitability on Cropland,” in collaboration with Pheasants Forever, UW-Madison Extension, and County Conservation Departments from Grant, Lafayette, and Green Counties.
