…battering is the single largest cause of injury to women in the United States? More women are injured as a result of abuse than all of the injuries from automobile accidents, muggings, and cancer deaths combined.
…1 in 4 girls will be sexually violated before they reach 18; 1 in 3 girls during their lifetime? That’s 25% of all girls in Wisconsin”s High Schools.
…In sexual assault cases 68.1% of cases the victim knew the perpetrator, 21.5% of the perpetrator were related to the victim, and 10.3% were strangers.
